Hi,
This is just to let you know that I cannot connect to BioMOO's port
8888, nor register for a BioMOO user ID on the internet.

Our company has a firewall, but used the internal command that
everyone uses here to get around the firewall to access telnet for
some standard purposes (for addresses such as, telnet helix.nih.gov).
Even so, I still could not access port 8888. I'll try to talk to
some other technical people here to find out if there's another
barrier and whether I can get around it.

Just one question about your message:
You said:
"If you are coming in from a commercial domain, you have an account
on a
University based machine and your problems are with the port no. you
can
try telnetting to the University account and then from there to
BioMOO."

Did you mean, "if you're at a commercial domain, and have a
University-based account........"? (just want to make sure I didn't
lose part of your sentence).
Thanks
