Some of you pointed out some problems with Section 4 of the course
material and this lead us to review this section and its place in the PPS
course.
We concluded that more guidance is necessary concerning which pages
contain 'core' material and which pages are for background references. We
shall be writing a paper for this section which will pull the material
together.
Meanwhile for your guidance I would draw your attention especially to
these section which contain the most important material.
1)
The genetic code and protein translation in
http://pps98.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/ppscore/section4/gencode.html
2)
The West Georgia visual description of protein synthesis and the quiz
associated with it
.../section4/prtsynth/page1.html
3)
Protein targeting in
.../section4/targeting.html
4)
Protein transport in
.../section4/transport.html
Please let me know if your require further advice.
Cheers
David
